We are attempting to drop the water levels at Dovecotes (Strines) as part of the Clubs ongoing redevelopment plans. The water will be cleared, restocked and levels returned to normal, however, there should be no fishing of the lake until further notice.
The Garden Lodge (the smaller of the two lakes situated furthest from the main road) is available to fish. A size 14 maximum hooksize limit is to be enforced and every fish must be landed with a landing net, regardless of size. There is also a keepnet ban on this water unless permission is granted by club officials.
There is a planned work party at Dovecotes scheduled for April 2nd with an 18:30hrs start. A club official will be at the water from 17:00hrs if you fancy arriving earlier.
More information will be posted when available.

The weed cutting due to take place at Disley Dam on the 23rd March has been cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. As a result of this the water will not be closed so anyone who fancies braving the elements can fish all day!

As part of DNMAC plans to improve fish stocks over a number of our waters, we have recently taking delivery of a number of fish.
These include skimmers, crucians and chub for Watford Lodge and a large number of smaller fish to be grown on as part of the Club’s Strines Development Project.

Due to several recent events where large fish have been found tethered to line and rigs and a significant amount of line has been found hanging from a tree, causing a near fatality for one of the local bird population, would all members please call a club official if they feel their actions, or actions of others, has in some way endangered any person or wildlife.DNMAC is proactive towards improving and protecting our local fisheries, environment and animal welfare. We have tools and personnel to deal with many situations BUT we cannot act unless we are kept informed!
Due to these incidents our bailiffs may ask you to pull in your rig for inspection. Please do not take this personally we are just trying to ensure that people understand and comply to the Club’s rules and don’t spoil our sport for others.

It’s warming up nicely for a good fishing season on DNMAC waters. Some anglers such as Martin Longsden have been braving the cold and fishing through winter, catching fish such as this stunning Linnets Common.

Hello to all juniors new and old,
Well spring is finally here and thoughts of great days fishing are just around the corner.
Whether it’s fishing worm for hard fighting tench early in the season, catching carp off the top during the long summer evenings or great silver fish to be had on hemp and caster in the autumn, angling really does have so much to offer.
Last year was a great “start-up year” for our juniors, culminating with the DNMAC Junior Team heading into uncharted territory and participating in a three man event at Aston Park Fishery, Sheffield.
Although we didn’t get the best of draws all team members fished incredibly well and the team finished a respectable 4th out of the 9 teams fishing. Congratulations to Ben Fowler, our angler of the day, winning his section from a notoriously hard peg and hats off to all the lads who fished with special thanks to young Zac Bates who gained invaluable experience bank running for the day - we’ll get ‘em next time!
